Logistics and FAQ

Welcome to Pedro's Open Mic 2026. I'm thrilled to have you join me for a fun night of songs, games, prizes and surprises. Here are some things to know:

Address: Harrison High School, 255 Union Ave., Harrison, NY 10528

Directions: When you turn into the school from Union Avenue, turn left and go around to the main entrance, under a large archway. Once inside, the HPAC is on the right.

Curtain: 7 p.m., Saturday, May 16

Tickets: At http://bit.ly/pedros2026 (Performers must be ticketed.)

Rehearsal slots: Pre-assigned from 4:30 to 6:45 p.m. (If you do not have a rehearsal slot, email petekramermedia@gmail.com)

Attire: Theater blacks or show T-shirts, unless otherwise instructed.

When you arrive: Check in with Pete. If you are with a group, wait to check in as a group.

Green room: We’ll use the dance studio/black box, off stage right, as our green room. There is a keyboard and mirrors and plenty of room to warm up. There is also a door to outside. You can stash your things there and go into the HPAC to await your rehearsal slot.

While you wait: Sit in the house to await your rehearsal slot with music director Michael Mastroianni. Please respect those who are rehearsing and keep conversations low and at a minimum. If you would like to use part of the stage to work on your choreography, that’s fine, as long as you give those rehearsing with Michael the courtesy of keeping things at a low volume.

‘Chicago’ Band and ‘Cell Block Tango’ murderesses: After your rehearsal slot, you can continue to rehearse in the band room, which is behind the stage.

Merch: Our merch shop will be open before and after the show. Theater Kid hats, headbands, keychains, temporary tattoos and buttons, and an exclusive T-shirt with every high school musical across the Lower Hudson Valley in the 2025-26 season. Pick up a T-shirt, bring a Sharpie and have your Pedro’s castmates sign it. We take Venmo and a portion of the proceeds go to high school theater programs and our work promoting them. Preview the shop here.

Run of show: The run of show will be posted in the green room and stage right for you to screen shot. I’d love for you to be in the audience as much as you’re comfortable with. It’s a fun night. There are four segments, each divided by a game. I’ll alert each next group to use the break to go backstage, but you know what makes you comfortable and should do what feels right. Once you perform, please return to the auditorium to be audience for those who follow.

Tip jar: Music director Michael Mastroianni travels up from Orlando just to play for us. He is, as you will hear, phenomenal. Please show your appreciation by bringing a few dollars to put in his tip jar – or hitting up his Venmo (@mastromjm1) – and encouraging your friends and family to do the same.

Seasons of Love: Our finale brings all the performers to the stage to sing “Seasons of Love” from “Rent.” If you don’t know it, there’s time to brush up before Saturday. I’ll need a volunteer to sing the mid-song solo, so if you’re daring – and have the notes – let me know when you check in. And by all means shoot video during the finale to share on Insta after.

Cake to follow: Please plan to join us after for cake in the cafeteria.

Keep It Social: We’ll have a step-and-repeat on the way to the cafeteria. Feel free to take photos and videos and post to Instagram, tag @pkramer1, and use #pedros2026 so we can spread the word.
